Beautiful sunshine and a lovely warm day, I sat in the dappled shade of the trees and spun silk into heathered shades of blue, green, and purple.
Just before I finished and came in, the wind picked up and the skies transformed from blazing and blue to an angry dark grey. A summer thunderstorm rolled in, and then ended as quickly as it started, leaving everything drenched but fresh again. Perfect!
Wow…this is beautiful! I’m trying to teach myself to spin on a spindle…I’ve got the spinning down and now just need to figure out how to ply!

I have two wheels: my trusty Ashford Traditional that I bought about 12 years ago and which is now somewhere around 60 years old, and then my family all got together and bought me my dream wheel this year for my birthday, a Lendrum DT. You can see it (and hear me squealing with joy) in this post.
